Judge ends 11-game homerless streak with walkoff 

Aaron Judge hadn’t hit a home run in 11 games. Tied 0-0 in the bottom of the 9th with Max Schuemann on base, Aaron Judge blasted one to deep right field, to give the New York Yankees a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.


Nick Kurtz’s 48-game on-base streak ends 

Yesterday, Nick Kurtz had his 48-game on-base streak end. Kurtz went 0-4 with three strikeouts and a lineout. He tied Mark McGwire's A’s record for most straight games getting on base.


Three Houston Astros pitchers combine for a no-hitter

Against the Texas Rangers on Monday, Astros pitchers Tatsuya Imai, Steven Okert, and Alimber Santa combined to pitch the first no-hitter in the MLB since 9/4/24 when three Chicago Cubs pitchers combined for a no-hitter vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates. Santa was making his MLB debut when he finished off the no-hitter in the 9th by striking out Brandon Nimmo.


NBA Playoffs

The New York Knicks are in the NBA Finals. New York capped off a sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers with a decisive 130-93 victory. New York dominated Cleveland in this series, winning all four games by more than 10 points. The Knicks await the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs series out West. Oklahoma City leads 3-2 after winning 127-114 in Game 5.

NHL Playoffs

The Vegas Golden Knights have advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals. In a shock, Vegas swept the Colorado Avalanche. Colorado won the President’s Trophy this regular season. However, Vegas managed to beat them, and fairly handily. In the East, the Carolina Hurricanes lead the Montreal Canadiens 2-1. Montreal won Game 1, but Carolina took Games 2 and 3 by scores of 3-2.
