Micah Parsons

The Dallas Cowboys traded All-pro edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys get Kenny Clark and two first round draft picks for Parsons. The Former Cowboy got a pay day of a four year, $188 millon contract. This gives the Packers much better odds to make the playoffs, win the NFC North, win the NFC, and win the Super Bowl.

College Football Week 1

Game of the Week

#1 Texas vs #5 Ohio State

#1 Texas Longhorns: Arch Manning is finally starting Week 1. The Longhorns junior QB is the Heisman favorite. Texas is the favorite to win the national championship. But, they have no tune up game Arch starts his junior season in Columbus vs the #5 Ohio State Buckeyes.

#5 Ohio State Buckeyes: The defending national champions are ready for a new season. Ohio State won the national championship, but they lost many key contributors on both sides of the ball, and both their coordinators. How will the Buckeyes do. We’ll find out soon.

Other Big Week 1 Matchups:

#3 Clemson vs #8 LSU

Manchester United

Manchester United hasn’t lived up to their standards over the last few years, however they have a new low. Fourth-tier Grimsby Town beat Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

Grimsby Town looked great in the 1st half taking a 2 goal lead however, Manchester United scored 2 goals late and forced penalty kicks.

Manchester United took a 4-3 lead into the 4th round of PK’s, but Grimsby Town made their kick and Manchester United missed what would of won the game. Both teams made their next 7 PK’s and the score was tied 11-11 through 12 rounds of PK’s. Grimsby Town made their kick and Mbeumo missed his. Grimsby Town beat Manchester United 2(12)-2(11). Manchester United in the champions league is starting to look more likely.

NFL Predictions

The NFL Season is not far from starting. The Cole Times has made the following final predictions for all the teams:

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen and the Bills are a great team, and they are strong super bowl contenders. The Bills added Joey Bosa this offseason he should be a key contributor on defense. Buffalo hopes the young offense around Josh Allen evolves. All and All the Bills are great super bowl contenders. The Cole Times projects the Buffalo Bills to win Super Bowl LX.

Prediction: 14-3, Lombardi Trophy.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are serious contenders… if they stay healthy. Tua Tagoviola their Quarterback has gone down with many concussions in his career, Devon Achane was injured last season, Jaylen Waddle has injury concers, and the defense is already banged up from the preseason. Tyreek Hill isn’t getting any younger, and who knows how good Darren Waller will be coming out of retirement.

Prediction: 9-8, Wild Card exit.

New England Patriots

Drake Maye, Christian Gonzalez, Stefon Diggs, Treveon Henderson. These Patriots are ready to make a playoff push. Christian Gonzalez headlines the defense, but Milton Williams, Robert Spillane, Harold Landry III, Kyle Dugger, and Marcus Jones can all be key contributors, and could give New England a top defense. Drake Maye has great and underrated rushing upside at QB. Treveon Henderson is an explosive RB and could be a contributor right away. Stefon Diggs is a great pass catcher and should help immediately.

Prediction: 9-8, miss the playoffs

New York Jets

The New York Aaron Rodgers era ended. Justin Fields in the new QB in East Rutherford. The Jets are expected to employ a run heavy game with Fields, Breece Hall, and Braleon Allen. Garret Wilson is a great weapon in the passing game, and the Jets have Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner are great on defense, but the Jets need a few years before they can put it all together.

Prediction: 6-11, miss the playoffs

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are one of the AFC’s premier super bowl contenders. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry create the best backfield in the league, the defense is top teir, and Mark Andrews & Isaiah Likley are a great TE duo. But, the WR Core isn’t great. The Ravens are one of the Leagues best teams, the one thing stoping them is their playoff resume. With Lamar Jackson the Ravens have gone 72-29 in the regular season and 3-5 in the playoffs. Can they finally pull through? Maybe?

Prediction: 14-3, lose in AFC Championship

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are sleepers in the AFC. But, can you really call Joe Burrow, Ja’marr Chase, and Trey Hendrickson sleepers? The Bengals are a great team there are only 2 concerns.

  1. The Defense. Outside of Trey Hendrickson the Bengals defense isn’t good, some would even say terrible.

  2. Slow Starts. In the first five games of every season with Burrow in Cincinnati their record is 9-17-1 that isn’t the greatest of starts in the remaining games of the season their record has been 33-19.

So the Bengals have a chance, but it isn’t great.

Prediction: 10-7 loss in divisional round

Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers and Mike Tomlin now lead Pittsburgh. Tomlin hasn’t had a great QB since Ben Rothlisbeger and he hopes to have just that in future hall of famer Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers replaced George Pickens who left for Dallas with new WR1 DK Metcalf. Najee Harris went out west to the Los Angeles Chargers but, their still the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Defense has Cameron Heyward, Derrick Harmon, Patrick Queen, Darius Slay, Alex Highsmith, Juan Thornhill, Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey, and TJ Watt. So they aren’t terrible.

Prediction: 8-9, miss the playoffs

Cleveland Browns

Kenny Pickett to Las Vegas, Tyler Huntley cut, Deshaun Watson out for the year, Joe Flacco QB 1, Rookie 3rd round pick Dillon Gabriel QB 2, Rookie 5th round pick Shedur Sanders QB 3. Joe Flacco was named the starting QB at the end of the 4 QB battle. Rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedur Sanders are behind Joe Flacco. So The Cleveland Browns are not great. They have Myles Garett and Denzel Ward, Jerry Jeudy, David Njoku, Greg Newsome II, and Grant Delpit. The Cleveland Browns are not good.

Prediction: 4-13, miss the playoffs

Houston Texans

CJ Stroud and the Texans are the favorites to win the AFC South by far. So with division looked up probably at Week 14 they will have time before the playoffs to rest. This roster has no holes. The problem for Houston is injuries. They have injury concers for almost all of their starters. The Texans are a strong team but, they are sleepers.

Prediction: 10-7, loss in the wild card round

Tennsee Titans

1st overall pick Cam Ward is hoping to lead the Titans to success, but he will probably have to wait. The Titans do play in a weak division, but they are not good. Calvin Ridley is a good weapon, the run game isn’t terrible, and the defense is good. But, they need to put it together.

Prediction: 5-12, miss the playoffs

Jacksonville Jaguars

Former 1st overall pick Trevor Lawrence might be on his last chance. This season Lawrence has Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, and Travis Ettiene Jr.. they just can’t win. Their front 7 is great, and the secondary isn’t terrible, but they cant win. The Jaguars don’t seem to be on the rise, The Cole Times projects another struggling year in Jacksonville.

Prediction: 5-12, miss the playoffs

Indianapolis Colts

Having Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson Sr. battling to be your starting QB isn’t ideal. At least you have Jonathan Taylor in the backfield. Jonathan Taylor is the best player on Indianapolis’s roster and is expected to be a workhorse. Tyler Warren is the new young bright spot in Indy. Warren helped Penn State get to the national semi-finals in his senior season. Warren is expected to be the top target for the Colts. The defense is very talented, but young. The Colts need to wait for some time and a good QB to be a serious contender.

Prediction: 3-14, miss the playoffs

Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert, Najee Harris, and Ladd McConkey are leading the Chargers offense. Herbert is a great passer and an MVP Canidate. Najee Harris coming from Pittsburgh is a great runner. The Defense is great. The Chargers are a great team ready to take the next step.

Prediction: 11-6, loss in divisional roun

Kansas City Chiefs

On the schedule KC has: Week 1 @ Chargers in Sao Paulo, Week 2 vs Eagles, Week 4 vs Ravens, Week 6 vs Lions, Week 8 vs Commanders, Week 9 @ Bills, Week 11 @ Broncos, Week 14 vs Texans, Week 15 vs Chargers, Week 17 vs Broncos. That is 10 games vs teams that made the playoffs last year, with the Raiders geting better, and a game in Dallas the losses can start racking up. The Chiefs are a great super bowl contender, but won’t get there this season

Prediction: 10-7, loss in wild card round

Denver Broncos

Bo Nix’s rookie season was great, but, he might have a sophomore slump. The Broncos have a great roster that is headlined by Courtland Sutton and Patrick Surtain III. There are gaps that they need to fill. They got rookie RB RJ Harvey in the draft. Jahade Barron their first round pick should have an immediate impact.

Prediction: 9-8, miss the playoffs

 Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have made a lot of moves this offseason. Outside of TE Brock Bowers and WR Jakobi Meyers the offense is very different. QB Geno Smith and WR Amari Cooper joined the offense. The Raiders also got RB Ashton Jeanty and WR Jack Bech in the draft. Outside of Maxx Crosby the defense is not good. They need to get a few pieces on defense before they put it together.

Prediction: 7-10, miss the playoffs

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are ready to defend their title. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, Jordan Milata, Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith Jr., Zack Baun, Quinyon Mitchell, Reed Blankenship, and Cooper DeJean are ready to lead this serious super bowl contender.

Prediction: 13-4, loss in super bowl

Washington Commanders

The Offense is great & the defense is good. Jayden Daniels should hopefully take a massive leap this season. The Commanders are fringe contenders.

Prediction: 9-8, miss the playoffs

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott is back healthy, and they have new weapon George Pickens. But, the loss of Micah Parsons greatly weakens the defense. It is now or never for the Cowboys great secondary to step up.

Prediction 9-8, miss the playoffs

New York Giants

Russel Wilson is the starting QB for New York. He should succeed with Malik Nabers as his top target. The front 7 for the Giants is great they have Dexter Lawrence II, Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, and Kayvon Thibodeaux

Green Bay Packers

The very young and talented Packers have, Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, a very deep WR core, Micah Parsons, and Xavier McKinney. They are a great team, and a super bowl contender.

Prediction: 13-4, loss in NFC championship

Detroit Lions

Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, AmonRa St Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, and a healthy defense. The Lions are a super bowl contender with this roster, but play in arguably the toughest division in the NFL.

Prediction: 13-4, loss in divisional round

Chicago Bears

The Bears have great offensive weapons. Their defense however needs to take a few steps forward. They are a young team and have to wait their turn.

Prediction: 9-8, loss in wild card round

Minnesota Vikings

They have a good offense, and a solid defense. It all depends on how new QB J.J. McCarthy plays.

Prediction: 8-9, miss the playoffs

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Can Mike Evans reach 1,000 yards? We’ll have to wait and find out. The Buccaneers have a good maybe great roster on paper. But, some of that might be due to them playing in the NFC South.

Prediction: 9-8, loss in wild card round

Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young had a strong finish, and they got Tetairoa McMillan in the draft. The Defense is a good unit. But, they need another year

Prediction: 6-11, miss the playoffs

Atlanta Falcons

Michael Penix Jr. is taking over in Atlanta. The offense and defense look good, but Penix Jr. is in his rookie season, maybe next year Falcons.

Prediction: 6-11, miss the playoffs

New Orleans Saints

Spencer Rattler won the starting QB job over Tyler Shough. He has some weapons Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed. The defense is not great, the team is rebuilding. New Orleans is in shambles

Prediction 2-15, 1st overall draft pick

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers were hit hard by the Injury Bug last year. But, they still have Christian McCaffery, Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, and Fred Warner. The 49ers aren’t the team they used to be, but they aren’t far from it.

Prediction 10-7, loss in wild card round

Los Angeles Rams

Cooper Kupp out, Davante Adams in. That’s pretty much how the Rams roster changed. They are just the same old great Rams.

Prediction: 10-7, loss in divisional round

Arizona Cardinals

If Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. can take a step forward then something special is brewing in the desert. They just need to have those strong starts continue and turn into strong finishes.

Prediction: 9-8, miss the playoffs

Seattle Seahawks

They brought in Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp, but lost Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett. So the offense isn’t in great shape. But, the defense is a different story. The Seattle defense is great and should really help this team. A weak offense and a top-tier defense might not be a great combo, but that’s what’s up in Seattle.

Prediction: 7-10, miss the playoffs
